Those tires look pretty original.

I wouldn’t say total CP. It’s a rare interesting car in great shape. I could easily see it going for $5,000 which isn't too far off the asking price.

That mileage? I can’t CP that. If I had the cash I’d jump on it. Then swap in a supercharged Ecotec.

That could really go either way, it is almost 40 years old and it looks mint, but they made 115,337 of that variant in 1974 (if wikipedia is to be believed), so it’s not super rare. Knock 500 off the price and I’d say NP all day

There was a Vega with a Cosworth-tuned engine ... I think? Is this that engine?

And CP in either case. 4K max.

You know how they say the years make you forget the bad and only remember the good? Not in this case. These cars sucked. They handled like shit. At 36k miles, It’s on its 2nd motor-or needs to be. Iron head on aluminum block? Notice how almost every other engine on the planet is the other way around? I don’t how this one managed to not rust out-the stories of these having rust bubbles under the paint on the showroom floors were real.

I was working in an auto machine shop when these were around. I made lots money installing cast iron sleeves in the worn aluminum bores.

Between how badly these rusted and how bad their motors were, I bet the rate of survival is veeeeeeery low.

A GT was not a Cosworth and would be $20-30k at auction. I don’t believe any were made in other than the basic 2 door body . They all were black until 1976. It was the first engine I ever worked on that had XZN (aka triple square) bolt heads. They still were junk. My friends swapped them to 283 and 305 engines.
